Celebrate the Cherry Blossoms in Adams Morgan
The Adams Morgan Partnership BID invites the community to partake in cherry blossom festivities in the heart of Adams Morgan! Throughout the National Cherry Blossom Festival, residents, employees, visitors, and tourists alike can enjoy springtime specials, discounts, and free community events at neighborhood businesses. The offerings are a celebration of wellness, fitness, culture, and the arts – all while supporting small, local businesses. Plus, many businesses are showing off their cherry blossom spirit and adorned their storefronts with cherry blossom decals and other springtime decorations! FREE COMMUNITY EVENTS HOSTED BY THE ADAMS MORGAN PARTNERSHIP BID:
ORIGAMI CLASS (April 7 from 2-4pm): Come learn how to make origami in celebration of the cherry blossoms at Because Science! Origami artists Michiko Okuma, Chie Takahashi, and Naoko Kamioka will show you how. All materials are provided and you'll come away with an enriched understanding and appreciation for origami, as well as beautiful paper art to take home. This event is free to all and recommended for anyone age 4 and up (adults and children are welcome!). It is a drop-in style class and attendees can arrive anytime between 2-4pm. ADMO ART WALK (April 8 - April 30): Adams Morgan will soon become your own personal, springtime art gallery thanks to the AdMo Art Walk, a free, fun way to experience art brought to you by the Adams Morgan Partnership BID, The DC Arts Center, local artists, and neighborhood businesses! Walk the streets of Adams Morgan and admire an impressive selection of local, spring-inspired artwork displayed in storefronts. Thanks to overwhelming support from the community since the event’s initial launch in 2020, the Art Walk continues to gain momentum – which enables us to bring you the biggest event yet with 20 participating businesses and 23 local artists. FITNESS CLASSES (April 9 at 12pm and 1pm): Join in on two different fitness classes, free and open to the public at MINT Gym & Studio. The first 50-minute PowerFlex class will be held at 12pm, followed by a 50-minute yoga class at 1pm.
