An Evening of Contemporary Ballet and World Premieres
Fall back in love with dance that excites the eyes and touches the heart with Dissonance Dance Theatre’s annual Fall Forward, a mixed-bill of contemporary ballet featuring award-winning Principal Choreographer and Founding Director Shawn Short. This year's program includes world premieres like "Push" (2024), a contemporary pointe-work ballet inspired by William Forsythe and Newton’s laws of motion, "Life Is Two Fold" (2024), a syncopated pointe work reflecting our excitement for life, and "Groove Downbeat Twig" (2024), a soft-shoe ballet blending Africanistic movement, club dance, and classical ballet. The performances are set to music by Mikael Karlsson, Black Violin, John Legend, Rapsody Macklemore, and more, ensuring a captivating experience for all ages.
