Join the National Archives on Constitution Avenue in celebration of July 4th!
Start your Fourth of July with us on the steps of the National Archives! Celebrate America’s birthday with live music and the iconic reading of the Declaration of Independence by historical reenactors. This year, we honor the 250th anniversary of the U.S. Armed Forces with special performances by military bands and remarks from Commander Everett Alvarez, Jr. (Ret.), a distinguished naval officer and Vietnam War POW.
July 4th at the National Archives is made possible in part by the National Archives Foundation through the generous support of Comcast Corporation, Microsoft, and P&G. Additional support provided by Ancestry, John Hancock, and Dykema.
