The City Tavern is the last remaining Federal era tavern in the District of Columbia still in operation.
Washington didn’t sleep here but….many of the country’s founders have visited and recommended this beautifully restored time capsule in Georgetown. We offer regularly scheduled tours but are happy to offer private tours conducted by members of the Foundation Board.
