Strathmore Music Center
Strathmore spotlights world-class talent and serves as a launch pad for local artists. Each year, we present hundreds of accessible and affordable events in the Music Center, Mansion, on the 16-acre campus, and throughout the community.
Based one-half mile outside the Capital Beltway in North Bethesda, Maryland, we serve the entire Washington, DC region and the state of Maryland with exceptional artistic experiences and opportunities to learn and connect.
With its soaring glass walls and windows throughout, beautiful natural light fills interior spaces of the Music Center, and the accents of natural wood make the spaces warm and inviting. Inside, the 1,976-seat concert hall is well-known throughout the industry for its pitch-perfect acoustics.
Next door is the 19th-century Mansion at Strathmore, home to intimate artistic programs. Enjoy a concert in the acoustically superb Music Room, explore the Mansion Galleries and current exhibitions, indulge in Afternoon Tea, stroll through the sculpture gardens, and find a special something at the Shop at Strathmore.
Strathmore’s 16-acre campus has plenty of green space, a sculpture garden, walking paths and more. It’s a beautiful place for a wedding, festival, or photo session.
Every summer, Strathmore welcomes thousands of our neighbors for free outdoor concerts at our Gazebo stage for our Live from the Lawn series.
Strathmore is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization.
