Ontario Motorcoach Association (OMCA) Marketplace (Nov. 1, Virtual)

This annual tradeshow consists of a day filled with appointments for DMOs along with educational sessions and networking opportunities. Lindsay held 30 pre-set appointments.

Special Agent Training Program Live Mission Presentations: Australia/New Zealand (Nov. 3 & 17, Virtual)
Attendee: Lindsay Hill
Lindsay Hill conducted a live presentation of two new Special Agent Training Program missions on Nov. 3, with two more to be revealed on Nov. 17. This program serves as a reintroduction to DC before border openings and international travel resumes. A third training will take place in December.

Group Tour Operator Survey Results Presentation (Nov. 8, Virtual)
Attendees: Lindsay Hill, Theresa Belpulsi, Kate Thompson
Kate Thompson and Lindsay Hill presented results from the group tour operator survey sent to clients in October. More than 100 individuals participated. fully completed the survey. The survey was presented to the Tourism Advisory Committee and key partners who helped create the questions. Results are available to any interested member.

Washington, DC Virtual FAM: Falling for DC (Nov. 10 & 16)
Attendees: Erica Riddle, Letizia Sirtori, Lindsay Hill, Taylor Malcolm
The first of these two virtual FAM featured clients from Europe, Mexico and Canada. The second will on domestic clients on the West Coast. The itinerary features fall activities and new attractions. Members highlighted: Churchill Hotel near Embassy Row, Dwight D. Eisenhower Memorial, GATSBY, Korean War Veterans Memorial, Lincoln Memorial, National Air & Space Museum, Native American Veterans Memorial, Swinger’s the Crazy Golf Club, The Point DC, Washington Football Team, World War I Memorial and Yardbird.

Rock ‘n’ Roll Marathon (Nov. 13, Washington, DC)
Attendee: Christopher Thompson
Runners will descend on DC for a VIP tour with postcard-worthy views of the most iconic monuments, including the White House, the U.S. Capitol Building and the Lincoln Memorial. The United Airlines Rock ‘n’ Roll Running Series participants will also be serenaded by live bands with cheer teams are positioned along the course. Runners cross the finish line with a post-race festival and concert at RFK Stadium.

  1. I have mobility issues. Where can I park near major attractions?
  2. Will museums be open on upcoming holidays such as Thanksgiving and Christmas?
  3. What are the COVID-19 restrictions and/or requirements for domestic and international travelers?
